Donate books, help open a library in Africa
Sarah Pullin, Alie Presnal and Lauren Dupriest are helping Buckner Care Orphan International collect books for the Kariobangi Youth Center in Nairobi, Kenya, which is in the Korgocho Slums.
The girls have been working with middle school students from Carver Academy in Waco who have helped collect the books in the picture. Alie is a TA at Carver Academy and works closely with these students.
Why this is important: The collection of these books will help open a library in the Korgocho Slums.
How YOU can help: Donate any books you have (except textbooks since they are usually pretty heavy to ship). Even ONE BOOK will help. Think about how many books could be collected if everyone donated just one!!
Other ways to help: If you don't have any books, no worries! You can donate money to help ship books to Kenya. (Make checks out to Tallowood Baptist Church)
Proverbs 11:24-25
One man gives freely, yet gains even more. A generous man will prosper; He who refreshes others will himself be refreshed.
